About The Position

Gordon Food Service is seeking a CDL A Transit Driver with a Doubles Endorsement to join their team in La Vergne, TN. This role involves transporting loaded and empty trailers, singles or doubles, from GFS Distribution Centers or point-to-point via night transit. The night shifts ensure drivers are home every day, and no touch freight is required. Gordon Food Service emphasizes a safe and secure environment where employees are valued and respected.

Requirements

At least 21 years of age
Class A CDL License at hire
Minimum of 1 year driving experience with your class A
Doubles (T) endorsement required
Must be able to operate a 10 speed transmission
No Auto Restriction
Must be able to push and pull up to 50lbs (connecting trailers)
Must be able to read, write and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits, updates, complete paperwork and follow verbal instructions)
Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage (including marijuana) and a background check
Clean driving record; as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards
Must be registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent in order to be considered for employment with us effective January 6th, 2020.
