CDL A Trainee Driver - Paid Training
About The Position
This position is for recent CDL school graduates looking for a supportive training program. The program offers guaranteed weekly pay during training, 1-on-1 mentorship for 4-6 weeks of OTR experience, and fast-track to full solo pay rates. Operations run strictly East of I-35, with no New York City runs. The freight is 100% no-touch dry van, with 70% drop-and-hook and 30% live load/unload. Drivers will have their own assigned truck (2022 or newer Freightliner or Kenworth automatic with APU) and will not have to slip-seat once solo. Take-home options are available. A rider and pet policy are in effect after training completion. Home time is predictable with 12 days on assignment and 2 days at home. Solo drivers have a guaranteed minimum of $1,000/week for the first 3 months, with average weekly gross earnings of $1,300-$1,500 and top earners making $1,750+ weekly, running 2,200-2,800 miles/week.
Requirements
- Valid CDL-A license.
- Minimum age of 21.
- Minimum 120-hour completion certificate from an approved/accredited CDL school.
- Stable work history.
- Clean driving record.
- Clean background record.
- Active DOT Medical Card.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Freightliner or Kenworth trucks.
- Familiarity with APU systems.
Responsibilities
- Complete 4-6 weeks of OTR experience with a dedicated trainer.
- Operate a truck primarily East of I-35.
- Handle 100% no-touch dry van freight.
- Perform drop-and-hook and live load/unload operations.
- Maintain a clean driving and background record.
- Adhere to company policies and safety regulations.
