Requirements

Class A CDL
No DUI/OWI in the last 5 years
No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years
No more than 2 preventable accidents in the last 3 years
3 months verifiable tractor trailer experience OR Recent Trucking School Certification

Responsibilities

Moving 53ft Dry Van trailers in and out of docks
Small yard with about 24-35 moves a shift
May be moving trailers to and from separate yards
Complying with all company & client safety regulations
Position is very active as the switchers are getting in and out of the trucks all day long to open and close doors when backing in and out of dock doors.
Assisting OTR drivers
Checking trailer numbers and seals against paperwork when moving between yards
Inspecting trailers prior to moving them for DOT cert and general safety concerns report upward to Leads and security
