About The Position

Shanker Beverage Company is hiring both Route Drivers and Swing Drivers to join their team. Drivers enjoy a Tuesday–Friday schedule, are home every afternoon, and have a three-day weekend every week. The routes are local, the pay is predictable, and the team is built on long-term relationships. Unlike many route-driving jobs that rely on commissions, incentive pay, route bidding, or fluctuating route volumes, Shanker Beverage drivers receive a predictable salary and dependable paycheck year-round. The company is a fifth-generation family-owned beverage distributor serving Mid-Michigan since 1933, with fewer than 50 employees and a high percentage of long-term employees. Route Drivers will have an assigned route and customer base with a consistent territory and delivery schedule, focusing on building long-term customer relationships. Swing Drivers will cover multiple routes throughout the territory, providing vacation and absence coverage, and learning all areas of the operation. Final position placement will depend on experience, qualifications, and company needs.

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A License
• 2+ years of commercial driving experience
• Clean driving record
• DOT compliant
• At least 21 years old
• Ability to repeatedly lift and move 50+ pounds
• Dependable, safety-conscious, and customer-focused

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-sold beverage products to retail customers throughout Mid-Michigan
• Unload products using a dolly and electric pallet jack
• Verify deliveries and maintain accurate paperwork
• Provide outstanding customer service
• Process invoices, collections, and daily settlements
• Follow all DOT regulations and company safety standards
