About The Position

Dispatched daily from Liberty Tire Recycling’s Mobile, Alabama facility, the Route Driver works with an assigned Driver Helper to collect used tires from multiple customer facilities and transport them back to the site. The driver serves as a primary point of customer interaction and records transactions according to company standards. The work is highly physical: the driver and helper get out of the truck at customer sites and manually load tires into 53-foot trailers throughout the day and in various weather conditions. Liberty Tire Recycling is a high-growth provider of tire recycling services across the United States and Canada. It transforms more than 210 million tires annually into raw materials for sustainable products and has approximately 60 sites and nearly 4,000 employees.

Requirements

Hold a CDL Class A license.
Be at least 22 years old and have a clean driving record.
Maintain an acceptable MVR in compliance with DOT requirements.
Pass a post-offer background check, DOT physical, and drug test.
Be capable of routinely lifting 50 pounds and lifting 75 pounds or more with assistance.
Be willing to work in various weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in the tire recycling or manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections of assigned equipment, report defects to dispatch through DVIRs, and maintain clean, safe equipment.
Provide a high standard of customer service.
Ensure loads are correctly placed and secured.
Use safe lifting techniques to lift and load passenger-vehicle and truck tires.
Lace passenger tires safely to reduce injury and optimize the load.
Maintain documents in accordance with DOT guidelines and ELD requirements.
Attend monthly Transportation Safety Meetings.
