CDL A Route Delivery Driver
About The Position
CrossCountry Freight Solutions (CCFS) is seeking Class A drivers who are passionate about customer service and prioritize safety to join their team. As a CDL A Route Delivery Driver, you will operate a company vehicle to transport freight safely and efficiently to designated locations by a set time. Your responsibilities will include unloading, sorting, palletizing, and reloading various types of freight, both manually and with mechanical assistance. You will also be responsible for completing all required paperwork in accordance with government regulations and company policies.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- At least 21 years of age
- 1 year of commercial driving experience
- No DUI’s or DWI’s (in the past 3 years)
- No more than 3 traffic violations (in past 3 years)
- Must have Hazmat and Tanker endorsements or be willing to obtain
Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Deliver and/or pick up freight to/from customer locations and/or a terminal as instructed by dispatch or the immediate supervisor
- Ensure all shipping documentation is available for DOT inspection and appropriate paperwork accompanies the shipment to the delivery point
- Load and/or unload a wide variety of freight onto and off a company motor vehicle, at customer locations and at the terminal, with or without mechanical assistance depending on the size of freight
