About The Position

Regional intermodal work for drivers in East Texas, with a $10,000 sign-on bonus. Drivers have flexibility in choosing where their truck sleeps on days off, including their own driveway, a secure spot near home, or one of six company yards. If the tractor is taken home, the miles are paid. The role involves moving rail containers between customers and the Haslet and Wylie rail yards, with some Memphis runs. The operating area includes Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Tennessee, Missouri, and Kansas. The company provides automatic sleepers with inverters, company-owned tractors, chassis, and containers. There is a 24/7 operation with driver facilities in six locations.

Requirements

At least 21 years old with a valid Class A CDL
3 months verifiable tractor-trailer experience in the last 6 months with one carrier, 6 months in the last 12 months, or 12 months in the last 5 years
Hazmat within 180 days of orientation (reimbursed)
Reliable transportation and a safe place for the tractor, or use of the Haslet yard
No more than 2 moving violations and no careless or reckless driving in the last 3 years
No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years and no major preventable accidents in the last 3 years
Must pass hair and urine drug testing, with no failed drug or alcohol test in the last 5 years
No riders, pets or personal conveyance

Responsibilities

Rail containers between customers and the Haslet and Wylie rail yards, with some Memphis runs
Operate within Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Tennessee, Missouri and Kansas
Utilize automatic sleepers with 1500 watt inverters
Work within a 24/7 operation with driver facilities in six locations
