About The Position

Regional intermodal work for drivers in the Canton area, with a $10,000 sign-on bonus. Drivers will have set days off (2 consecutive days of your choice every week, not necessarily Saturday and Sunday), a consistent start time chosen by them, and will drive newer automatic Freightliner and International trucks that are, on average, 2.5 years old. The role involves mostly drop and hook (about 75% of stops) and covers intermodal containers across Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Iowa. Drivers can expect to drive between 1,800 to 2,800 miles per week and will have 48 hours home every week. The position requires working weekends, which is communicated upfront.

Requirements

At least 21 years old with a valid Class A CDL.
3 months verifiable tractor-trailer experience in the last 6 months with one carrier, 6 months in the last 12 months, or 12 months in the last 5 years.
Hazmat endorsement within 90 days of hire.
No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
No careless or reckless driving in the last 3 years.
No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years.
No major preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
Must pass hair and urine drug testing.
No failed drug or alcohol test in the last 5 years.

Responsibilities

Transport intermodal containers across Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, Illinois, Wisconsin, and Iowa.
Drive between 1,800 to 2,800 miles per week.
Adhere to set days off and start times.
Operate automatic transmission trucks.
Perform mostly drop and hook operations (approximately 75% of stops).
Work weekends as required.
