CDL-A Regional Driver
About The Position
Structured regional route assignments with an average haul length of 500 miles. Drivers primarily operate east of I-35 hauling dry van freight through a network of recurring customer locations. Established route assignments and recurring freight patterns support steady miles while helping create a predictable weekly schedule. Drivers can take their truck and trailer home, with 70% drop and hook freight. The operating network is designed to support steady freight movement while maintaining familiar routing patterns for drivers. Trucks are primarily Peterbilt 579s, three years old or newer, equipped with refrigerators, inverters, automatic transmissions, and Qualcomm communication systems.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- At least 3 months of recent experience within the last 3 years
- Valid DOT medical physical
Responsibilities
- Operate a Class A CDL truck and trailer primarily east of I-35.
- Haul dry van freight through a network of recurring customer locations.
- Complete regional route assignments with an average haul length of 500 miles.
- Manage 70% drop and hook freight.
- Ensure steady miles and a predictable weekly schedule.
- Take truck and trailer home.
- Adhere to established route assignments and recurring freight patterns.
- Utilize Peterbilt 579 trucks (or similar) equipped with refrigerators, inverters, automatic transmissions, and Qualcomm systems.
