Requirements

  • Valid Class A CDL (CDL-A).
  • Current DOT medical card.
  • Tanker (N) and Hazmat (H) endorsements (or X endorsement).
  • Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
  • Ability to comply with all DOT/FMCSA regulations and company safety policies.
  • Clean driving history meeting the following standards: – No drug/alcohol-related violations or fatal crashes within the last 7 years – No major preventable accidents or license suspensions within the last 3 years – Overall acceptable MVR for the previous 7 years (as determined by company and insurance guidelines)

Responsibilities

  • Operate a CDL-A tractor-trailer safely and professionally while transporting general chemical tanker freight.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
  • Load/unload and manage product handling activities as required for chemical tanker operations, following company procedures and site-specific rules.
  • Ensure on-time pickup and delivery by meeting scheduled appointments and communicating delays proactively.
  • Comply with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations, including DOT and FMCSA requirements.
  • Follow DOT and FMCSA E-log (ELD) requirements and maintain accurate hours-of-service records.
  • Complete and submit required documentation on time, including bills of lading, delivery receipts, and customer signatures.
  • Maintain a professional attitude and appearance while representing the company at customer facilities and terminals.
  • Adhere to all safety policies, including PPE requirements, safe driving practices, and chemical/tanker-specific protocols.
  • Participate in required training and safety meetings to support continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.
