Requirements

  • Valid Class A CDL
  • Current medical card (DOT medical certification)
  • Tanker (N) endorsement
  • Hazmat (H) endorsement (or X endorsement preferred where applicable)
  • Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
  • Clean safety record including: No drug/alcohol-related violations or major crashes in the past 7 years
  • No license suspensions or moving violations in the last 3 years
  • CDL-A (Class A Commercial Driver’s License)
  • Tanker endorsement (N)
  • Hazmat endorsement (H/X)
  • DOT medical card
  • Tractor-trailer driving (2+ years)
  • DOT/FMCSA compliance
  • ELD/E-log usage
  • Safety and defensive driving
  • Load documentation/paperwork
  • Time management and appointment adherence
  • Customer service and professional communication
  • Pre-trip/post-trip inspections

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of chemical tanker experience (preferred)
  • Familiarity with chemical handling environments, customer site procedures, and related safety protocols
  • Chemical tanker operations (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Operate a tractor-trailer/tanker safely and responsibly while transporting chemical freight on regional routes.
  • Ensure all loads are properly secured and transported in accordance with company standards and customer requirements.
  • Follow all DOT, FMCSA, and state regulations, including hours-of-service compliance and safe driving practices.
  • Maintain accurate electronic logs and comply with DOT and FMCSA E-log requirements.
  • Complete required paperwork, obtain customer signatures, and submit load documents promptly and accurately.
  • Meet delivery schedules, appointments, and customer service expectations while managing time efficiently.
  • Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections; report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
  • Maintain a professional, respectful attitude with customers, dispatch, and teammates at all times.
