About The Position

Our client is hiring CDL-A drivers for a dedicated building-products account offering consistent miles and predictable home time. Freight on this fleet is dry van, no-touch, running the Southwest-Central corridor from TX to OK and into the Southeast, with travel through MI, ND, SD, NE, MS, MO, TN, PA, NJ, KY, KS, IL, IN, VA, WV, NC, SC, GA, OH, FL and AL. Home time comes every two weeks, giving you a clear, repeatable schedule you can plan your life around while still running the miles that make the paycheck. Average earnings on this account run $1,601 per week, approximately $83,267 annualized.

Requirements

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License.
  • Minimum of 3 months of verifiable CDL-A driving experience.
  • Meet all Department of Transportation qualification requirements.
  • Hold a current DOT medical certification.
  • Acceptable motor vehicle record and safety history.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen.
  • Comply with all federal testing requirements.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.

  • Prior dedicated account experience, particularly on fleets with consistent, repeating routes.
  • Familiarity with the lane and the customer.
  • Clean safety record.
  • Consistent on-time performance.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a Class A tractor-trailer safely and legally at all times.
  • Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
  • Monitor hours of service and keep logs accurate and current.
  • Transport freight on schedule across the Southwest-Central corridor from TX to OK and into the Southeast, with travel through MI, ND, SD, NE, MS, MO, TN, PA, NJ, KY, KS, IL, IN, VA, WV, NC, SC, GA, OH, FL and AL.
  • Follow assigned routes, plan fuel and rest stops sensibly.
  • Communicate proactively with fleet manager regarding weather, traffic, or customer delays.
  • Verify load counts, seals, and paperwork at pickup and delivery.
  • Secure freight correctly for transit.
  • Complete bills of lading and delivery documentation accurately.
  • Represent the client professionally at customer locations.
  • Maintain the condition and cleanliness of assigned equipment.
  • Report mechanical issues promptly.
