About The Position

The CDL-A or CDL-B Driver at Piscataqua Landscaping plays a crucial role in our day-to-day operations, as they are responsible for safely and efficiently transporting equipment, materials, and personnel to various job sites. As an essential member of our team, the CDL-A or CDL-B Driver must uphold our commitment to quality, professionalism, and client satisfaction while adhering to all relevant safety regulations and best practices.

Requirements

Valid and current Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License.
Clean driving record with no major violations or accidents.
Prior experience in operating commercial vehicles, preferably in a landscaping or construction environment.
Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, safety protocols, and best practices.
Ability to operate and maintain equipment such as trailers and related attachments.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective teamwork and client interactions.
Physical capability to handle the demands of loading and unloading equipment and materials.
Attention to detail and adherence to timelines and schedules.
Flexibility in working hours, as some early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends may be required.

Responsibilities

Safe Operation of Vehicles: Operate and drive company vehicles, including trucks with a Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License, while always maintaining a strong emphasis on safety.
Equipment Transport: Safely load, transport, and unload landscaping equipment, machinery, and materials to and from job sites, ensuring proper securement and handling.
Timely Delivery: Execute assigned routes and deliveries promptly to ensure efficient completion of landscaping projects and meet clients' schedules.
Vehicle Maintenance:?Perform routine inspections of company vehicles and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition; report any issues or maintenance needs to the appropriate supervisor.
Documentation: Complete accurate and timely records, including trip logs, vehicle inspections, and other relevant paperwork as required by the company and regulatory authorities.
Compliance:?Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations governing transportation, including but not limited to DOT regulations, weight limits, and hours of service.
Safety Protocols:?Follow established safety guidelines and protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to prevent accidents and maintain a safe work environment.
Communication: Coordinate with the landscaping team to ensure efficient and smooth operations, providing clear communication on transportation-related matters.
Client Interaction:?Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with clients or the public while representing Piscataqua Landscaping.
Efficiency and Productivity: Optimize transportation routes and methods to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and maximize productivity.
