About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated CDL-A Truck Driver for our Local/Semi-Local Office Depot fleet. This role involves handling container transport across the regional metro area, offering a solid daily routine and high weekly earnings. Drivers can expect to be home daily with reset at home after every shift. The position involves 100% no-touch freight, with a mix of live loads/unloads, preloads, and drop-and-hook. Drivers will operate within a 150-mile radius of the yard and may encounter occasional wait times at the ramp for container mounting. Slip-seat operation with clean daycabs is utilized.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL and current DOT Medical Card.
- Must reside within 25 miles of the dispatch yard.
- Minimum 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience.
- Solid driving record.
- Clean work history.
- Mandatory drug screening.
- Must be okay to pull heavy pallets.
Nice To Haves
- Hazmat Endorsement preferred.
Responsibilities
- Handle container transport across the regional metro area.
- Operate within a 150-mile radius of the yard.
- Perform 100% no-touch freight operations, including live loads/unloads, preloads, and drop-and-hook.
- Manage occasional 30 to 60-minute wait times for "flips" at the ramp when mounting containers onto DOT-legal chassis.
- Drive clean daycabs utilizing slip-seat operation.
