About The Position

Hiring CDL-A reefer drivers in Westfield, MA. This is a local CDL-A driving job out of our Westfield, MA distribution center. Home daily means you're back at the yard at the end of every shift — no overnight runs, no living out of a truck. Two consecutive days off every week (Friday and Saturday). The job involves delivering fresh and frozen grocery within 250 miles of Westfield, MA. Operating area includes Western/Central MA, CT, NY Hudson Valley, NJ, PA backhauls. About 20-25% of freight delivers into NYC, with new drivers not running NYC for the first 6 months. When ready, drivers train one-on-one with NYC-certified trainers. Requirements

Valid Class A CDL (CDL-A) required.
Minimum 1 year verifiable CDL-A driving experience preferred.
Clean MVR.
DOT physical and drug screen.
Reliable personal transportation to Westfield, MA yard.

Nice To Haves

New drivers do not run NYC for the first 6 months.
Pallet jack training provided for cross-utilization.

Responsibilities

Local route delivering fresh and frozen grocery within 250 miles of Westfield, MA.
Operate 48', 51', 53' refrigerated trailers.
Mostly no-touch freight, but customer unloads, driver assists.
Handle multi-stop loads (typically 15+ stops per week).
Complete 2 loads per day, or 1 long load.
Cross-utilization on other local accounts 2-3 days per week (pallet jack training provided).
