About The Position

Sysco is hiring a dependable local CDL A Delivery Truck Driver to safely and efficiently operate a tractor-trailer and manually unload and deliver products—including meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, and supplies—to customer locations on an assigned route schedule. Drivers build relationships with customers through a positive, friendly attitude and become familiar with customer operations to meet their needs and expectations. Most Driver Trainees have daily routes and are home nightly.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Pass employment testing.
• Hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) and have a driving record that meets company insurability standards.
• Be able to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records.
• Be able to handle touch freight, including repeatedly lifting, pushing, or moving products averaging 40–60 pounds and weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Be flexible to work overtime as required and weekends and holidays as business needs require.
• Be currently authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• One year of customer delivery experience preferred.
• Six months of hand cart or hand truck experience preferred.
• Six months of food and beverage experience preferred.
• Two years of consistent work history preferred.
