About The Position

Sysco is hiring a dependable local CDL A Delivery Truck Driver to safely and efficiently operate a tractor-trailer and manually unload and deliver products—including meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, and supplies—to customer locations on an assigned route schedule. Drivers build customer relationships through a positive, friendly attitude and learn customers’ operations to meet their needs and expectations. Most drivers have daily routes and are home nightly. The role may require overtime, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must pass employment testing.
• Must hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) and have a driving record that meets company insurability standards.
• Must be able to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records.
• Must be able to perform touch-freight work, including repeatedly lifting, pushing, or moving products averaging 40–60 pounds and weighing as much as 100 pounds.
• Must be flexible to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.

Nice To Haves

• 1 year of customer delivery experience preferred.
• 6 months of hand cart or hand truck experience preferred.
• 6 months of food and beverage experience preferred.
• 2 years of consistent work history preferred.
