About The Position

This intermodal truck driving position is based in Union and Middlesex County, offering a 4-day work week with daily home time. It is suitable for recent CDL school graduates with no prior experience, as on-the-job training is provided. The role involves local container moves out of Avenel, including drop and hook and live loads. Drivers can expect to be home every day, with flexible scheduling options including Thursday to Sunday or Friday to Monday.

Requirements

• Must be 21 or older with a Class A CDL.
• Recent CDL school graduates with at least 120 hours from a CDL school, or 6 months of recent experience.
• Up to 2 moving violations in the last 2 years accepted.
• No DUI/DWI in the last 10 years.
• Must pass a DOT physical.
• Must pass a hair and urine drug test.
• Live within 50 miles of Avenel.

Responsibilities

• Perform local container moves out of Avenel.
• Execute drop and hook operations.
• Handle live loads.
• Complete 3 to 4+ hookups per day.
• Adhere to trip planning, logs, and fueling procedures.
• Operate an assigned truck.
