About The Position

Hiring Class A CDL truck drivers for a local intermodal driving opportunity based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Drivers transport intermodal freight between rail yards and customer locations within approximately 250 miles of Harrisburg, completing about 2–5 loads per day. The role offers daily home time, activity-based compensation, and a $10,000 sign-on bonus for eligible drivers, subject to eligibility and retention requirements. Two openings are currently available.

The schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, with start times generally between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM. Shift preferences may be available based on seniority. Drivers average approximately 1,565 miles per week. Company-owned day-cab tractors have manual and automatic transmissions and operate on a slip-seat basis. Trucks remain at the terminal during drivers’ time off.

Average weekly earnings are stated as $1,711–$1,904, with estimated annual earnings of $89,000–$99,000. Compensation includes mileage pay and various activity-based payments; actual earnings depend on mileage, loads, activity pay, and assigned schedules.

Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).

Responsibilities

• Transport intermodal containers between rail yards and customer locations.
• Operate within approximately a 250-mile radius of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
• Complete approximately 2–5 loads per day.
• Perform drop-and-hook trailer movements.
• Assist with loading and unloading when required.
• Complete rail yard pickups and deliveries.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain accurate delivery and transportation records.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety procedures.
• Communicate delays, equipment issues, and delivery updates.
