Requirements

  • Requires a Class A CDL.
  • Must be 22 years or older.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors and the public.
  • Work independently with general instructions.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in the tire recycling or manufacturing industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily collection of waste tires.
  • Successfully manage the transportation of waste tires to the home facility.
  • Complete all DOT required paperwork and company paperwork at each collection site.
  • Transporting monies received at collection sites from customers who are on a cash only basis.
  • Understand and know safe lifting techniques to lift and load tires of all sizes (personal vehicle, truck and tractor tires).
  • Knowledge and understanding of navigating with local maps.
  • Manage and supervise additional employees (driver helpers) that are assigned to the route.
  • Maintain a positive customer service attitude in demanding situations.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refer defects or repairs to dispatch through the successful completion of DVIR's; maintain clean, safe equipment.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with appropriate safety standards.
  • Comply with all of FMCSA regulations at all times during their employment.
