About The Position

Wurth Baer Supply Company, one of the nation's premier distributors to the woodworking industry, is seeking a reliable and responsible LOCAL CDL-A TRUCK DRIVER to support our Columbus, OH facility and product delivery operations. MANUAL TRANSMISSION PROFICIENCY IS REQUIRED.

Requirements

• A valid Class A
• Experience and proficiency driving manual transmission 10-speed Tractor Trailer is required
• A clean driving record for the past three years in all states where licensed
• Pass a medical examination for commercial driver fitness and obtain the required medical card in compliance with 49 CFR 391.43
• Pass a pre-employment screening for DOT controlled substances, in compliance with 49 CFR 40 and 49 CFR 382.
• Must be VERY PROFICIENT with 10-SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSIONS
• Must be comfortable assisting customers receiving their goods weighing 70 to 100lbs. This will include large sheets of plywood, cabinetry, drawer slides, hinges, hardware, paints, stains, tools, sandpaper, and synthetic countertop materials.

Nice To Haves

• Previous warehousing experience preferred
• Good problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Help load the company truck and transport Wurth Baer Supply products to customers when needed.
• Use an app via a company-provided cell phone to plan your route.
• Conduct yourself in a positive and friendly manner and provide quality service with each delivery.
• Assist with general warehouse operations (receiving, picking, etc.) when needed.
• Lift and lower packages that may weigh up to 100 pounds.
• Use proper lifting and lowering techniques at all times (adjust your body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, and pivot).
• Become accustomed to the fluctuating temperatures in which you will perform your duties.
