Job Summary: Drives truck with capacity of more than 3 tons, to transport materials to and from specified destinations, by performing the following duties.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of applicable job techniques, tools, and equipment.
  • Familiarity with company quality and environmental policies, including AS9100 and ISO 14001.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to following safety procedures, security protocols, and wearing proper PPE.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to accept constructive feedback.
  • Must undergo and meet company standards for background check, employment verification, reference checks, physical, and controlled substance testing.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing, production, or technical environment preferred.
  • Experience working in AS9100 and/or ISO 14001 certified environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and manage changing priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • CDL license preferred

Responsibilities

  • Loads and unloads materials, parts, or products onto or from pallets, skids, conveyors, or trucks.
  • Drives truck to destination.
  • Prepare receipts for load picked up.
  • Maintains truck log, according to state and federal regulations.
  • Maintains telephone or radio contact with supervisor to receive delivery instructions.
  • Loads and unloads truck.
  • Inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.
  • Positions blocks and ties rope around items to secure cargo during transit.
