About The Position

This position is for CDL-A drivers, including those with no prior driving experience. New drivers will start with a driver trainer on real loads and will be paid weekly during training. Upon completion of training, drivers will move into their own truck with full pay. The job involves dry van freight in Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, and Kentucky, with an average of 1,600 to 2,000 miles per week. Drivers can expect to be home every weekend. The freight involves drop and hook, live loads, live unloads, and preloads.

Requirements

• Class A CDL
• At least 21 years old
• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years
• Able to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
• Live within 100 miles of Gary, IN
• For new drivers: 120+ hours from an accredited CDL school.
• For experienced drivers: 6 months OTR in the last 12 months, or 12 months in the last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Drive a CDL-A truck for dry van freight.
• Operate within Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, and Kentucky.
• Complete 1,600 to 2,000 miles per week.
• Be home every weekend.
• Handle drop and hook, live loads, live unloads, and preloads.
• Train with an experienced driver trainer if new to driving.
• Transition to own truck on full pay after training.
