About The Position

As a CDL Driver, you are a critical link in our supply chain, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of metal building insulation products directly to our customers. This role requires a professional who is equally skilled behind the wheel and at the job site, handling the physical loading and unloading of materials with precision. You will operate equipment outfitted with advanced safety technology—including front-facing, driver-facing, and rearward mirror-mounted cameras—to maintain our high safety standards. When not on the road, you will support our local operations through warehouse assistance, maintaining a "customer-first" attitude to uphold our reputation for excellence in the field.

Requirements

  • 23 years of age
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent)
  • 2 full years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience in the last 5 years.
  • Class A - 53’ trailer/dry van experience required (Class A dump truck does not qualify)
  • Must possess a valid CDL and have the ability to obtain a DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish both written and spoken is a requirement.
  • As a condition of continued employment, employees working in a position requiring driving as an essential function of the job are required to maintain a valid license, and an acceptable driving record as per our insurance provider’s requirements
  • Valid forklift certification, or the ability to obtain certification upon hire.

  • Must have the physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform duties in a production environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on operational needs and delivery schedules.
  • Safety glasses and OSHA-compliant safety-toed footwear must be worn at all times in production and warehouse areas.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with fiberglass insulation, facing materials, or metal building insulation is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate tractor-trailers to deliver insulation materials within a pre-determined schedule, strictly adhering to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and Corporate Safety guidelines.
  • Relocate trailers at the plant facility to streamline loading operations.
  • Utilize integrated vehicle safety systems, including driver-facing dash cameras, front-facing dash cameras, and rearward-facing mirror-mounted cameras to ensure the highest standards of road safety and incident prevention.
  • Efficiently utilize maps and GPS to determine the most effective routes to job sites and delivery locations.
  • Perform comprehensive daily pre-trip and post-trip inspection reports (DVIR). Immediately report maintenance issues to the Plant Manager.
  • Complete daily DOT logs via Electronic Logging Device (ELD).
  • Ensure 100% compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and DOT Hours of Service (HOS) laws; manage and maintain accurate electronic logs to prevent violations and ensure safe operation.
  • Accurately process all paperwork, including picking lists, bills of lading, fuel receipts, and trip reports.
  • Hands-on responsibility for the loading and unloading of insulation rolls and accessories at job sites and customer offices, ensuring delivery accuracy and material integrity throughout the process.
  • Provide professional customer service during deliveries, ensuring customers sign for receipts and collecting COD charges when specified.
  • Act as a liaison between the field and the plant by reporting any job site issues to the Plant Manager for immediate customer resolution.
  • Keep work areas, aisles, and storage zones clean, organized, and free from debris, empty pallets, or packaging waste.
  • Assist production and shipping personnel as needed to ensure on-time order fulfillment and efficient workflow.
  • Handle any hazardous or special materials under supervision and in accordance with safety regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervision or management.
