About The Position

American Driver is seeking CDL A holders who have recently completed school and are ready to begin their trucking careers. This position is specifically designed for individuals with no prior commercial truck driving experience. Trainees will undergo a 4-to-6-week paid training program, earning a guaranteed $900 per week, alongside experienced drivers. During training, they will handle real loads, routes, and deadlines from the first week. Upon completion of training, drivers will transition to solo pay starting at $0.56 CPM, with opportunities for performance-based increases and additional pay for stops, layovers, and breakdowns. The role operates on Midwest regional lanes, handling dry van, no-touch freight, with drop and hook on most loads, averaging 2,200 to 2,500 miles per week. Drivers can expect to be home weekly.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Minimum of 120 hours completed from an accredited CDL school.
• No major violations in the past 3 years.
• No DUI in the past 5 years.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities
