This role safely operates a tractor-trailer or a straight truck with a pup trailer (or other vehicle requiring a Class A CDL) to perform assigned duties on designated routes.

Requirements

  • 1 year operating a vehicle requiring a CDL or 1 year equivalent military driving within the last 7 years.
  • Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to interact with the public, understand traffic signs, respond to official questions, and complete records or reports.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Legally eligible to work in the country where the position is located.
  • Successfully complete pre-employment screening, including drug screen and physical.
  • CDL-Class A

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D (accredited)

Responsibilities

  • Safely operates a tractor-trailer or a straight truck with a pup trailer (or other vehicle requiring a Class A CDL) to perform assigned duties on designated routes.
  • Maintains a clean and safe vehicle in accordance with OSHA, DOT, and Company requirements.
  • Performs pre- and post-trip inspections using eDVIR and reports any issues.
  • Immediately reports unsafe situations or unscheduled service calls to Operations Manager and Dispatch.
  • Participates in scheduled training, briefings, and meetings.
  • Works with Operations Managers and Dispatch to improve route efficiencies and identify problem or unsafe accounts.
  • Performs all duties as scheduled and assists other company drivers as directed.
  • Notifies Operations Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.
  • Notifies Operations Manager and Dispatch of issues such as blocked containers or unserviceable routes.
  • Communicates customer requests, issues, or service changes to Operations Manager and Dispatch.
  • Completely dumps all containers and leaves the customer’s location clean.
  • Positions containers to ensure they do not block driveway entrances or traffic.
  • Follows route assignments and completes all documentation when checking in.
