About The Position

This is a delivery position responsible for driving a 48ft Tractor Trailer, delivering and unloading various products for our customers. Overtime hours, working weekends and holidays, and starting at various evening start times are required in order to successfully meet customers' needs. This role involves operating a commercial truck safely throughout NYC, NJ and CT based on assigned route, with the supervision of an experienced company driver. The apprentice will complete required hours of training and pass all required work, safety knowledge and driving assessments.

Requirements

CDL Class A required
21+ years of age
No Driving experience required, we offer training with our apprentice program.
Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver License with a "clean" driving record
Possess and able to present a valid (non-expired) interstate DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate Card
Possess and be able to present a valid non-expired interstate Medical Examiner's Certificate Card.
Driving record with less than 2 moving violations
Ability to lift 50lbs and push or pull 150lbs
Ability to work in all weather conditions.
Able to read, write and communicate in English as it relates to the job and to the safety regulations

Responsibilities

Deliver product within assigned route schedule and time windows
Maintain Department of Transportation rules
Unloading of merchandise by the use of hand trucks
Provide an excellent customer service experience by meeting customer needs during delivery
Operate a commercial truck safely
Operate 48 ft. Refrigerated Tractor Trailer with the supervision of an experienced company driver throughout NYC, NJ and CT based on assigned route.
Successfully complete required hours of training and pass all required work, safety knowledge and driving assessments.
