About The Position

Gordon Food Service, a family-operated foodservice business for over 125 years, is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver. The company serves customers from restaurants to healthcare and education across the U.S. and Canada through its distribution network and more than 180 retail stores. In this position, the driver will build relationships with customers while delivering essential food products to various establishments like restaurants, schools, hospitals, and universities. The role involves day shifts and local routes, ensuring drivers are home every day. Responsibilities include unloading cases up to 100 lbs using a ramp and two-wheeler throughout the shift. Requirements

At least 21 years of age
Class A CDL License at hire
Ability to operate a two-wheel cart with loads of up to 350 pounds
Ability to lift up to 100 lbs throughout the shift
Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits, updates, complete paperwork, and follow verbal instructions)
Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage (including marijuana) and a background check
Clean driving record; as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards
Must be registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent in order to be considered for employment with us effective January 6th, 2020
