CDL A Delivery Driver - Mt Pleasant
About The Position
Mid-Am Building Supply is seeking a full-time CDL A Delivery Driver for our Mt. Pleasant location. The primary responsibility is the delivery of materials to customers and other branches, as well as picking up materials and assisting in loading and unloading. This role involves driving a delivery vehicle, verifying deliveries with shipping papers, performing regular vehicle inspections and maintenance, and securing loads. The driver will also operate a forklift to aid in loading and unloading and complete all required DOT paperwork. Participation in company safety meetings is mandatory.
Requirements
- Familiarity with DOT requirements.
- Basic operating skills for delivery equipment.
- Ability to read and write so written instructions on shipping papers can be easily followed and corrections and needed information can be easily filled in.
- Ability to pass our forklift operator test after a normal training procedure.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions effectively.
- Ability to fill out paperwork required by DOT.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must have a valid CDL operator’s license.
- Must be willing to work outside of normal business hours to meet the customer’s needs.
- Must pass DOT required physical and drug test.

- Knowledge of building material products is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Drive delivery vehicle to designated points.
- Check off materials from shipping papers and obtain proper signature verifying delivery.
- Perform regular inspections, routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
- Pick up materials as designated.
- Secure all loads in a safe and orderly manner.
- Operate a forklift to assist in the loading and unloading process.
- Fill out all required DOT paperwork.
- Attend and participate in company safety meetings.
