About The Position

Kim-Tam Logistics, a division of Samuel, Son & Co., has been providing flatbed services and cross-border transport across North America since 1964. They specialize in supporting the metals and construction industries with a focus on safety, service, and long-term stability. This position involves hauling steel and industrial products across regional routes, securing loads with straps and chains (no tarping required), and delivering safely and on time to customers across the US. Drivers will also handle paperwork and communicate with dispatch as needed.

Requirements

Valid Class A CDL
Minimum 2 years of experience with tractor-trailer combinations of 48/53 ft
Strong knowledge of DOT/FMSCA safety standards
Possess a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that meets safety and insurance standards, with no disqualifying violations in the past 36 months as determined by company policy and applicable regulations.
Compliance with the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse, including a clear record with no violations prohibiting operation of a commercial motor vehicle.
Applicants must consent to both pre-employment and ongoing Clearinghouse queries as required by law.

Nice To Haves

Minimum 6 months flatbed or Conestoga experience strongly preferred
Experience hauling steel or oversized freight strongly preferred

Haul steel and industrial products across regional routes
Secure loads with straps and chains only — no tarping!
Deliver safely and on time to customers across the US

$1500 SIGN ON BONUS!
No Tarping Required – We supply Conestoga trailers only!
2000-2500 miles/week
Drivers typically run 1-3 weeks at a time, with the GOAL of getting our drivers home each week
Competitive Mileage Pay: Up to $0.69/mile (practical miles), $0.45/mile (Home Empty Miles)
Extra Pay Opportunities: Short Load Premium ($50 per pick ; $50 per drop; mileage), $25/drop, standard, $250/weekend layover
Hourly pay for detention and breakdown included: Starting rate of $28.02/hour, $30.51 after 6 months
