About The Position

Southeastern Container is hiring an experienced CDL-A Bulk Tanker Driver to join our Logistics team! You'll operate a tractor-trailer with a bulk tanker to make local nightly resin pickups and deliveries to our vendors and manufacturing facilities. This is a specialized driving position with a consistent schedule and NO overnight runs. Requirements

  • Minimum age of 21
  • Valid CDL Class A
  • Valid driver's license
  • Minimum of 2 years of commercial motor vehicle driving experience
  • Safe driving record/MVR
  • Ability to pass required DOT physical and drug & alcohol screening
  • Ability to safely operate a tractor-trailer and bulk tanker
  • Ability to climb, bend, walk and stand as required to connect hoses, operate unloading equipment and perform inspections
  • Willingness to strictly follow all DOT, FMCSA, OSHA and company safety requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Tanker experience is a plus
  • Experience with bulk pneumatic tankers
  • Experience with resin, plastic pellets, flake or reprocessed plastic
  • Experience with pneumatic unloading systems
  • Experience with air systems and blowers
  • Experience with tanker hoses and silo connections
  • Qualified CDL-A drivers with the right experience and attitude may be considered for training if they don't have bulk resin experience.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a Class A tractor-trailer with a bulk pneumatic tanker.
  • Make local nightly pickups of bulk plastic resin and deliver materials to Southeastern Container facilities.
  • Safely connect and disconnect tanker equipment and hoses.
  • Unload bulk resin into designated silos using pneumatic unloading equipment.
  • Monitor equipment and identify potential maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Complete required DOT, company and delivery records and paperwork.
  • Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
  • Communicate professionally with suppliers, plant personnel, customers and the general public.
  • Follow all company, DOT, FMCSA, OSHA and applicable state and federal requirements.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and protect the reputation of Southeastern Container and the Coca-Cola system.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Logistics Manager.
