Requirements

  • B.S. degree in Nursing, Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or degree in related field.
  • Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) designation issued by the Association of Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialists (ACDIS).
  • 3 years’ experience in a leadership/management position.
  • Knowledge of ICD-10-CM coding conventions and clinical auditing processes
  • Experience in QI concepts and tools and techniques.
  • Ability to interact with a wide range of professionals including physicians.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degrees such as MBA, MPH
  • Experience in project management

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating and performing day-to-day operations for the clinical documentation improvement program across the multi-facility integrated healthcare delivery system.
  • Personnel management, education, training, productivity, work assignments, quality reviews, and management for the CDI supervisors.
  • Acting as a liaison for physicians, Coding and Risk Adjustment analysis and reimbursement guidelines.
  • Working with organizational leadership to plan, design, test, implement, and evaluate integrated revenue cycle systems and solutions that support and enhance business practice, administrative and management needs.
  • Facilitating and promoting standardization across Northside and ensuring alignment of high-quality documentation and coding that supports compliant and accurate medical record documentation.
