The Float CD Tech serves as a caretaker and custodian for both clients and the facility. The primary responsibilities include monitoring client conduct, maintaining the cleanliness and order of the premises, orienting new residents to house rules and procedures, and supporting the counseling team. In the absence of the Program Manager, the Float CD Tech assumes responsibility for all safety matters. This position is not assigned to a specific facility. The Float CD Tech is hired to provide coverage at any Progress Valley facility where staffing support is needed and may be assigned to report to a different facility on their scheduled workday with as little as one hour’s notice. The Float CD Tech must demonstrate self-confidence and sound individual judgment, the ability to de-escalate and resolve conflict within the client community, and a high level of crisis tolerance. This position requires the ability to respond professionally to medical emergencies, convey a positive and professional image to clients, staff, and visitors, and maintain strict client confidentiality.
