About The Position

The MIL Corporation seeks a CCoE Telecommunications Engineering Technician III (Telecommunications Engineering Tech, III) to support a Federal Government client at our Ft. Gordon, Georgia location. The Telecommunications Tech will provide on-site support of Information Technology (IT) and Audio-Visual (A/V) installations within the CCoE Transformation program at Ft. Gordon, Georgia. This position currently requires an onsite schedule. Schedule is subject to change based on company/contract requirements.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience performing testing and/or integration of audio visual (A/V) equipment
• Ability to follow basic flow diagrams
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Good verbal and written communications abilities
• Experience using MS Office products
• Must be able to lift items up to National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) limits
• Must be able to stand, kneel and/or crouch for extended periods of time
• Must be able to climb ladders and scaffolding
• Must be able to work in high places, as well as small, cramped, or confined spaces
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Must maintain a valid passport
• All applicants for this position must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance. Please note that the clearance process takes into account financial background aspects.

Nice To Haves

• J-STD Certification(s)
• Experience with testing fiber and/or copper
• AV certifications a plus

Responsibilities

• Builds AV racks based of drawings provided by the engineering team
• Leads on site integration and installation
• Labels communications infrastructure including cable, panels, patch cords and electronics
• Installation and mounting of equipment, such as monitors, speakers, and microphones, to ceilings and walls in secure spaces
• Fabrication, termination, and installation of AV cabling
• Testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of various AV systems
• Troubleshooting and diagnosing existing AV systems
• Performs inventory management and record configuration information on installed equipment and software modules
