About The Position

Metropolitan Family Services (MFS) is seeking a full-time CCBHC Mental Health Practitioner for their Merrionette Park office. MFS is an established human services agency focused on empowering families to learn, earn, heal, and thrive. Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field from an accredited college or university, required.
  • Licensed Social Worker (LSW), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), required.
  • Must obtain and maintain IM+CANS certification, required.
  • Satisfactorily pass all relevant screenings and criminal background checks.
  • Driving for work required with a personally owned vehicle.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of post-graduate social work experience at an intermediate skill level, preferred.
  • Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) or experience working with clients experiencing substance use preferred.
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), preferred.
  • IM+CANS certification, preferred.
  • ASAM certified, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Performs comprehensive, in-depth assessment and clinical formulation, development of accurate diagnosis and strengths-based treatment plans for CCBHC services.
  • Performs open access as assigned.
  • Provides individual/group therapy, crisis intervention, and case management services, adhering to CCBHC and MRO/Medicaid rehabilitation service models.
  • Provides a full range of therapeutic interventions, advocacy, skill-building, and related services.
  • Provides evidence-based treatment interventions per training and certifications.
  • Learns and utilizes agency and community resources.
  • Assesses community conditions that affect clients to identify resource gaps and problems.
  • Works with multidisciplinary professionals including psychiatrists, nurses and community agencies to provide a continuum of coordinated care to meet the complex needs of clients.
  • Provide on-call or in-person crisis intervention services when necessary.
  • Recommends financial assistance and other benefits the client may be entitled to.
  • May serve on regional or agency-wide committees.
  • Meets agency expectation for quantity of direct service and maintains quality and fidelity to evidence-based practices.
  • Maintains timely and accurate client records and any necessary agency and CCBHC required reporting.
  • Participates in agency and site based required meetings and trainings.
  • Works effectively with diverse staff and service population.
  • Other duties as assigned.
