About The Position

We are seeking a CBRF Certified caregiver to provide essential support to residents in our facility, located 25-35 minutes outside the Milwaukee area. This role requires reliable transportation. The caregiver will assist with daily living activities, administer medications, monitor health, prepare meals, maintain a clean environment, facilitate social engagement, document care, communicate effectively, and provide behavioral and crisis support.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • CBRF training certification is required.
  • Specific training in medication administration.
  • Previous experience in a caregiving role, particularly in a CBRF or similar setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Successful completion of background checks as mandated by state regulations.
  • Reliable transportation is essential due to the facility's location.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in a relevant field (CNA, HHA) is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
  • Safely administer medications as prescribed, ensuring proper dosages and timing; monitor residents for side effects and effectiveness.
  • Observe and report any changes in residents' health or behavior to the appropriate medical personnel, including any issues related to medication.
  • Plan and prepare nutritious meals that accommodate dietary needs and preferences.
  • Maintain a clean and safe living environment, including laundry and general upkeep of the facility.
  • Facilitate activities and social interactions to enhance residents’ quality of life and promote community involvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided, including medication administration logs and any incidents or changes in residents’ conditions.
  • Foster open communication with residents, families, and other staff members to ensure coordinated care.
  • Implement individualized plans for residents with behavioral needs, using positive reinforcement techniques and de-escalation strategies as necessary.
  • Respond to behavioral crises effectively and safely, ensuring the well-being of residents and others in the facility.
