About The Position

Under the direction of the Food Service Manager, the CBORD Technician assists in the implementation, monitoring, updating and maintenance of the patient menu management software system (CBORD). They are responsible for patient foodservice database coding; ensuring its accuracy. They provide and coordinate procedures and standards of practice related to department software operations and diet office functionality. The CBORD Technician trains users with menu software responsibilities as assigned by the Food Service Manager, while ensuring risk management by auditing staff compliance with all food safety controls within the departments (Retail and Patient). They perform scheduled food safety audits and food management audits, and in the absence of departmental leadership, provide oversight and direction to retail operations (Café). They must assist with inventory management and purchasing goods and supplies for the department, with a focus on retail purchases.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary diploma or degree: Food Service Worker and/or Food Service Management (or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 2 years of CBORD Technician experience
  • Basic Food Safety Certification
  • Demonstrated knowledge and commitment to patient and staff safety at STEGH
  • Self-directed and highly motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fluent and computer literate with computer systems (e.g., CBORD, Cerner, ORMed, Microsoft Office)
  • Demonstrated dependable attendance record in accordance with the Attendance Support Program
  • Demonstrated previous performance reflective of the Mission, Vision and Values and Code of Conduct of STEGH

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a LEAN environment
  • Advanced Food Safety Training Certification preferred
