About The Position

The Career Ambassador student assistant provides support for reception duties, events, and social media marketing for Business Career Services events and workshops. Assist staff by providing front desk support, including responding to inquiries from students/faculty/employers Provide event support for CSUF Business Career Services and other events for business students: assist with flyers, emails, blasts, social media management, and event management. Balance and prioritize a multitude of tasks, including emails and general administrative tasks Assist with projects such as assisting with marketing campaigns to promote our services, supporting our team with launching new services and products to students support department projects and student services Assist staff with peer-to-peer coaching, including resume reviews and guidance on career-related resources Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • read and write English at a level appropriate to the position
  • Eligible for Federal Work Study program
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Self-starter and reliable
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in team settings
  • Ability to effectively present information
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Comfortable using online storage and collaboration tools such as Dropbox and Google Drive
  • Current student at CSUF and is enrolled/registered (fees paid) in a current regular semester as a new or continuing student.
  • Student who has completed the prior semester (has not graduated), or who is registered for the subsequent semester.
  • In good academic standing (not on academic probation, continued probation, academic dismissal).
  • Student who is authorized to work in the United States and can provide employment eligibility documents.
