About The Position
This is a travel contract position for a Cath Lab Technologist in Anchorage, AK. The role is based in an acute hospital facility and involves a 13-week contract with a day shift schedule, working 40 hours per week. First-time travelers are accepted.
Requirements
- 2 years of experience
- BLS
- ACLS
- ARRT (R) or RCIS
Responsibilities
- Prepare the cardiac catheterization laboratory for diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Assist physicians during cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, stent placements, electrophysiology procedures, and other vascular interventions.
- Operate fluoroscopy and hemodynamic monitoring equipment according to departmental protocols.
- Scrub, circulate, and monitor procedures as assigned and within the scope of practice.
- Prepare and maintain sterile instruments, supplies, and equipment.
- Monitor patient status throughout procedures and promptly communicate changes to the healthcare team.
- Administer contrast media and medications as permitted by facility policy and state regulations.
- Document procedures accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Participate in emergency call rotation as required by the facility.
- Adhere to radiation safety standards, infection prevention protocols, and patient safety guidelines.
