About The Position

The Cath Lab Technician is knowledgeable in sterile technique and able to perform effectively as a scrub technician. Under the direction of a Registered Cath Lab Technician, assists in the total care of each patient. This person should possess and demonstrate current knowledge and skills necessary for the delivery of care and safety from neonatal, pediatric, adolescence, adult to geriatric age (0 - 100+) and all developmental stages in the cath lab setting.

Requirements

• 1-2 years hands-on cath lab training (can include time in an accredited Cath Lab Technician degree program with at least 2 semesters completed).
• Proficiency in sterile technique.
• Proficiency in all scrub procedures.
• Knowledge of cath lab equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot cath lab equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Registry as Cardiovascular Technologist (must be obtained within three (3) years of employment in the cath lab).

Responsibilities
