About The Position

At Franciscan, The Cath Lab Technologist III is accountable for the supervision of the room staff's performance, coordination of the room's schedule, and communicating with the Cath Lab management team, to ensure the efficient utilization of resources. This position, also, performs duties of circulating, scrub, and monitoring of invasive cardiology procedures. The Cath Lab Technologist III demonstrates an understanding of all invasive procedures, the equipment, and supplies for each procedure, and indications for performing each procedure. The focus of the Cath Lab Technologist III position is to assure optimal quality examination and intervention while maintaining the highest level of patient care and safety. Requirements

  • Associate degree from an accredited Radiologic Technology program required
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required
  • Current state licensure required, if applicable

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as an X-Ray Technologist preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supervision of the room staff's performance
  • Coordination of the room's schedule
  • Communicating with the Cath Lab management team
  • Performing duties of circulating, scrub, and monitoring of invasive cardiology procedures
  • Demonstrating an understanding of all invasive procedures, the equipment, and supplies for each procedure, and indications for performing each procedure
  • Assuring optimal quality examination and intervention while maintaining the highest level of patient care and safety
  • Monitor and interpret patient data during procedures, recognizing abnormal rhythms and potential complications
  • Operate physiologic monitoring and recording systems, identifying normal and abnormal cardiac waveforms
  • Assist physicians during cardiac catheterization and related procedures
  • Safely operate radiographic imaging equipment while following radiation safety standards
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and scheduling staff to ensure efficient department operations
  • Support the training and onboarding of new Cath Lab team members
