About The Position

Assist in the care of patients undergoing procedures in the cardiac catheterization (CCL) and electrophysiology (EP) laboratories; primary functions will include: EKGs, transport, assistance with ADL’s, and performance of technical duties as directed by RN; this is including but not limited to: phlebotomy, vital signs, point of care testing, and communication of changes in patients’ status to the RN while responding appropriately. Participates in maintaining regulatory readiness, Cooper’s patient satisfaction initiatives, departmental goals, and performance improvement projects.

Requirements

Successfully completed a certified nursing assistant or critical care technician course
Obtain and maintain BLS certification
Obtain and maintain EKG certification throughout employment

Nice To Haves

1 year of experience with patient care
EKG certification preferred

Responsibilities
