About The Position

Tryfacta is seeking a Cath Lab Tech for our client in Rochester, NY. This is a 13-week contract assignment. The role involves supporting diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with cardiac cath lab procedures, sterile technique, equipment setup, patient monitoring, and emergency response.

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of Cath Lab Technologist experience.
ARRT(R) certification preferred.
RCIS may be accepted when ARRT(R) is not available.
ACLS certification required.
BLS certification required.
Experience in diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab settings.
Ability to participate in required on-call coverage.
Strong knowledge of sterile technique and cardiac cath lab procedures.

Nice To Haves

CCI RCIS certification.
Scrub experience.
Experience with advanced interventional cardiac procedures.
Previous travel experience is not required; first-time travelers are welcome.

Responsibilities

Assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures.
Prepare and set up the procedure room and equipment.
Serve as room circulator and assist with scrub procedures.
Maintain a sterile field and follow strict sterile technique.
Assist with cardiac stent placement, PCI, PTCA, and catheterization procedures.
Support left and right heart catheterizations.
Assist with IABP placement and removal.
Support cardiac implant closure device procedures.
Assist with Rotablator atherectomy procedures.
Monitor patients and recognize life-threatening arrhythmias and dysrhythmias.
Maintain accurate documentation and follow infection-control and PPE requirements.
Demonstrate age-specific competency when caring for middle-adult and older-adult patients.
