About The Position
This is a 13-week contract position for a Cath Lab Tech at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, IL. The role involves performing various cardiac procedures and providing patient care. The position offers 10-hour shifts, 4 days a week, with potential weekend work and on-call duties. Both local and traveler candidates are accepted, with different pay structures for each.
Requirements
- 2 years of current Cath Lab Tech experience
- Experience with heart caths, PCI, IABP insertions, STEMI call, IVUS/IFR and interventional radiology cases
- 30 minute call back response time
- Active ARRT License
- AHA BLS, AHA ACLS
- IL Rad Tech License
- Must be fully covid vaccinated
- Flu Vaccination

- Prior Travel experience
- Prior Cerner experience
Responsibilities
- Perform heart caths, PCI, IABP insertions, STEMI call, IVUS/IFR and interventional radiology cases
- Acting as the first point of contact for referrals and patients
- Attending patient consultations
- Performing initial examinations and patient assessments
- Making recommendations to the referring physician, the patient, and patient’s family under the guidance of the interventional radiologist
- Performing daily rounds and communicating patient progress to the medical staff and the radiologist
- Other duties as assigned
