About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cath Lab Tech to join our team on a per diem basis in Burbank, CA. This role is crucial in supporting our advanced cardiovascular diagnostic and interventional services, including TAVR, Impella, balloon pumps, and Electrophysiology procedures. You will work in a STEMI Receiving Center, contributing to high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in a Cath Lab setting.
  • ARRT (R), CCI RCIS, CRT, CA Fluoroscopy Permit.
  • AHA ACLS, BLS certifications.
  • Call experience.
  • EPIC proficiency.
  • Diagnostic Cardiac Cath lab experience.
  • Interventional Cardiac Cath lab experience.
  • Cardiac Cath Lab Procedures experience.
  • Cardiac Implant Closure Device experience.
  • Cardiac Stent Placement experience.
  • Diagnostic Catheterizations Adult experience.
  • IABP Placement/Removal experience.
  • Interpretation of dysrhythmias.
  • Left heart catheterization experience.
  • Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI) experience.
  • Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA) experience.
  • Right heart catheterization experience.
  • Rotablader athrectomy experience.
  • Scrub Procedures experience.
  • Equipment set up experience.
  • Recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias.
  • Room circulator experience.
  • Scrub - maintain sterile field experience.
  • Infection Control knowledge.
  • Isolation Precautions knowledge.

  • Age specific competency for Middle Adult.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare the cardiac catheterization lab for diagnostic and interventional procedures.
  • Assist physicians during cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, stent placements, electrophysiology procedures, and other cardiovascular interventions.
  • Operate hemodynamic monitoring systems and imaging equipment.
  • Scrub and circulate during procedures while maintaining a sterile field.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media as permitted by facility policy.
  • Monitor patients throughout procedures and promptly communicate changes in patient condition.
  • Ensure proper handling, cleaning, and maintenance of Cath Lab equipment and supplies.
  • Accurately document procedures and maintain patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Adhere to all hospital safety, infection prevention, and quality standards.
