About The Position
The Cath Lab Tech assists physicians in performing invasive cardiac procedures and provides direct and indirect cardiovascular clinical care during established procedures. The position requires thorough knowledge of Cath Lab equipment and its maintenance, as well as care for patients undergoing invasive cardiac procedures.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited RCIS program, or graduate of an accredited program in nursing, respiratory therapy, paramedicine, imaging, or exercise physiology.
- At least 1 year of experience in healthcare imaging, exercise physiology, paramedicine, respiratory therapy, or as an RN; no experience is required for graduates of an RCIS program.
- An applicable license based on healthcare experience, required upon hire.
- RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) certification within 2 years if a graduate of an RCIS program; or RN (Registered Nurse) Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure upon hire; or RCES (Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist) upon hire.
- BCLS (Basic Life Support) certification upon hire.
- ACLS certification upon hire.
