Radiology / Cardiology - Cath Lab Tech
About The Position
This is a Cath Lab Tech position at a Magnet Facility, Level II Trauma hospital that is recognized as a USNWR Best Hospital in Alaska. The hospital has 407 total staffed beds. The role involves working in Diagnostic Cardiac Cath, Interventional Cardiac Cath, STEMI, IABP, Impella, Tandem Heart, and Structural Heart procedures (PFO, TAVR, Mitral Clip). Additionally, the tech may float to Interventional Radiology (IR) for procedures such as Lines, Drains, Embolizations, Lower/upper extremities, Fistulas, Visceral Angio/intervention, Stroke Thrombectomy, and Neurointervention CRM Device implants. The position requires on-call duties, including 1 shift per week and every 4th weekend. Some Saturdays are required for regular shifts as part of the 4 scheduled shifts for the week. The role guarantees 70 hours per 2 weeks, with the possibility of being called off for one 10-hour shift per 2 weeks. Locals are not accepted, and the candidate's permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility.
Requirements
- 2 years of experience.
- BLS certification.
- ACLS certification.
- ARRT (R) or RCIS certification.
- Proficiency per UD (Unit Description).
- EP Experience.
- IR Experience.
- Vascular Experience.
- Monitoring experience.
- Neuro Experience.

Responsibilities
- Perform Diagnostic Cardiac Cath procedures.
- Perform Interventional Cardiac Cath procedures.
- Assist with STEMI, IABP, Impella, Tandem Heart, and Structural Heart procedures (PFO, TAVR, Mitral Clip).
- Float to Interventional Radiology (IR) for procedures including Lines, Drains, Embolizations, Lower/upper extremities, Fistulas, Visceral Angio/intervention, Stroke Thrombectomy, and Neurointervention CRM Device implants.
- Provide monitoring during procedures.
- Participate in on-call rotation (1 shift per week and every 4th weekend).
- Work some Saturdays as part of regular shifts.
- Float within scope to meet facility needs, potentially to IR and EP.
