About The Position

The Cath Lab Tech works in the Cardiology department at Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, Illinois, assisting physicians with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. The role involves scrubbing in, maintaining sterile technique, preparing the procedure room, monitoring real-time hemodynamic data, and helping ensure safe, high-quality patient care. The technologist also manages supplies and equipment, supports training and collaboration within the team, contributes to invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures, and follows patient-safety, infection-control, and compliance standards.

This is a full-time day position with a consistent schedule of five 8-hour shifts. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available to qualified candidates; eligibility and payout terms apply and are discussed during the interview process. The stated reasonable compensation estimate, including estimated wages, benefits, and other compensation, is $37.00 to $53.59. Starting compensation depends on factors including skills, applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.

Requirements

• ARRT-R certification and state-required licensure.
• BCLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintenance of current certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
• Proficient computer skills.

Nice To Haves

• VI (Vascular Interventional Technologist) qualification preferred.
• Previous experience in an Interventional Radiology department preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.
