About The Position
The Cath Lab Tech assists physicians in performing invasive cardiac procedures. The role requires thorough knowledge of Cath Lab equipment and its maintenance, and includes administering direct and indirect care to patients undergoing invasive cardiac procedures. The technician provides direct and indirect cardiovascular clinical care during established procedures.
Requirements
- Graduate from a nursing program as a Registered Nurse (RN), or graduate from a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) program, or graduate from a Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) program.
- Two years of Cath Lab Tech experience.
- Based on the program completed, hold Georgia RN state licensure and/or NLC/eNCL multistate licensure, or RCIS certification, or RCES certification, upon hire.
- Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification upon hire.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification upon hire.
