The Cardiovascular Tech RCIS primarily assists with the technical aspects of invasive cardiovascular procedures under the direction of a supervisor and physician. Key responsibilities include assisting physicians as a monitor tech, scrub tech, and circulator in the cath lab. This involves interpreting basic and advanced dysrhythmia and EKGs, operating physiologic recorders and imaging equipment, monitoring patient status, and managing supplies. The role also includes preparing the lab and patient for procedures, cleaning and stocking the cath lab, demonstrating knowledge of medications and procedures, ordering supplies, and troubleshooting equipment. Post-procedure, the tech safely removes arterial and/or venous sheaths, maintains hemostasis, and monitors the patient. The position is located at Methodist Celina Medical Center, a new full-service hospital with 51 beds and plans for expansion, offering services such as cardiology, women’s services, orthopedics, and robotic surgery.
